D finally made her decision. She has agonized over the last month and especially over the last week. She even hesitated before pushing the final button. But when it was all done she picked Tulane.
She is still unsure about her decision but she went with her gut. She had a hard time giving up Denver. It was a hard decision for us as well. I am not sure I would have chosen Tulane but I am not the one going.
I am looking forward to seeing Tulane since I have never been to New Orleans.

Congratulations to you and your daughter, mom60! We're very busy waiting until the last possible moment to decide. Friends and family are actually betting that she will choose Tulane. I'll just keep waiting.

Congratulations from western NC as well. We are very happy to have a good reason to visit NOLA regularly, too. (We used to go for conventions but haven't for some time.) It's a delightful city, if rather expensive. Perhaps we can all share information on how to visit without breaking the bank.

I should have bet the long shot. She chose the U of Illinois. I'm sorry I won't be able to meet all of you in NO.

Congratulations to your daughter. I hope she enjoys Tulane. My son also made a tough choice between schools but has not regretted his decision to attend Tulane.

mom60, welcome! And, momoftwins, sorry we won't meet you in NO, but the University of Illinois is a great school. I have a friend that graduated from there.

Now that my son's freshman year is coming to a close, I asked him if his freshman year was what he thought it would be, and his answer was yes. I am happy for him that he wasn't disappointed. I also want to wish good luck to those students studying for finals. S has two this week and two next. Fortunately, his two hour TIDES doesn't have one.

welcome to the "family" mom60
