So for my first semester of senior year I received a D in my AP Calculus class but brought it up to a C/B range second semester(Semester is not yet over). Now I am not asking if Santa Cruz will rescind their offer of admission but to anyone who has ever had the experience of receiving an F or D in one semester and still managed to get in? I wrote a letter of explanation explaining my grade(this was just a couple days) and I yet to hear from them.

call them weekly, this will show to them that you care

@Videodima: Er…no.

You will most likely get your admission rescinded, if not because of the failing grade, but because you didn’t tell them until recently. Some people have gotten exceptions, but it all depends on if they get their target number of SIRs for the year or not.

I got a D in my first semester in Pre-Cal, Gratefully I didn’t get my Offer of admission Rescinded. Primarily because of two factors.

1) It was a bad grade in a subject that I have faced multiple challenges with throughout my applications (failed Algebra 2 and retook it and passed it with a C, and got a D in geometry but retook it in summer school and got two A’s)

2) I was on it and reported it to the school IMMEDIATELY finding out about the grade.

3) First gen High School Graduate and minority (if that helps at at all)
