D in AP Calc BC for senior year 1st quarter report card & applying ED

So my grades are pretty good overall and show an upward trend up until junior year. Now for the first marking period of my senior year I see that I might be getting a D in ap calc. The rest of my grades are 1 C in ap Chem, and As and Bs in my other classes (including 3 advanced classes). When I spoke with my counselor he told me I had a 3.65 gpa & 1810 SAT score and that he was sure I’d get into Fairfield University (in Connecticut).
I’m extremely worried that this D will ruin my chances of acceptance as I’m applying Early Decision to Fairfield U.
Does anyone know if this school (or my other schools which I will mention below) asks to see first MP grades soon or perhaps if they ask for a mid year report instead?
Would applying regular decision be a better option for me at this point?
I will definitely get this grade up by the first semester, but I’d like to hear others opinions before talking to my counselor about this since I can’t see him until next week, and I’m really anxious about it.
ED for Fairfield U is Nov 15 (they also have a second ED date in January) and first MP report cards come out around that time.

Other schools I’m thinking of applying to:
-fordham U
-university of Connecticut
-quinnipiac univeristy
-boston university
-boston college
-st johns university

Thanks!

Schools don’t get quarterly grade reports. They get your semester grades. Just get that D up. Get a tutor.

For ED they probably will look at quarterly reports and a D won’t look good to anyone.

ED schools do typically ask for first quarter grades. I suggest you do anything in your power to avoid a D – go to the teacher daily for help, get a tutor or a friend to work with you, etc. See what your counselor says for sure.
