So I kinda screwed up and wasnt able to take my final exam for my Differential Equations class at my Community College. My final grade ended up to be a D (which without the final exam seems pretty good). I’ve been trying to resolve this with my professor but he doesnt seem to budge. How would I got about trying to explain my situation to colleges that I have applied to? I have already enrolled again in Differential Equations for the Spring semester along with University Physics II. Would this really negatively affect my application and how can I try and remedy the situation?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
If you have a legitimate reason for missing the final (not oversleeping or I forgot) and your prof isn’t budging i would talk to the head of the Math Department and see what they say. Is there anything in the syllabus for what to do if you miss a test? Second, a D is still passing so I am not sure you can retake the class for a grade/credit. You will have to find that out from the registrar.
It was weather which closed the campus and therefore I was unable to take it. It was on the last day that the exam was offered, so I do take responsibility for not being prepared and in a way procrastinating, which the syllabus says unfortunately.
hm. I would give it a shot. Best of luck
Okay I know this is pushing it. But my schools require mid year transcripts and my high school will send out my grades for 5 of my classes. Would I be required to send the transcript from my community college? I would much more be willing to send it after I re-take my class, which ends in late march.
