D on transcript

<p>i received a D in a dual credit course at my local community college..its marked as a P on my high school transcript and i didnt receive credit for it and it didnt affect my GPA..my problem is when i send my college transcript to these universities it will say D....am i screwed for schools like NYU Boston College and Northwestern</p>

<p>P.S I have a pretty solid academic record besides this with about a 3.85 UW GPA and a 31 ACT with leadership roles</p>

<p>is there a specific reason you got a D in the class? an explanation could make colleges consider it less</p>

<p>well the only real reason I could say is that I took a class I wasnt really interested in and only did it because I thought i had to fufill the requirements…which later i found out later I didnt have to take another year of spanish</p>
