D senior year

Well the reason why i did bad in the class is just because for the simple reason i just could not grasp the subject I even got a tutor and studied all the time and it just did not work but I got a different tutor now and I am confident that I will pass both of them that I will send my quarter grades to the colleges. It sucks to because I do not feel as if I have senoritis at all because all my other grades are fine. Sure I am battling from depression and anxiety disorder but I do not want to use that as an excuse for doing bad.I plan to take the first semester of the class at another high school again starting next week will this help? I am hoping my school will allow me to change the grade on my transcript.

bump bump bump

I would think so. Wohoo first post!!

ask the college

Ask your counselor to write a quick note for explanation that this is a difficult subject for you, ie your weakness, and not just because of senioritis. If you have tutor, meet with your teacher everyday and try your hardest, then it should explain some. However a D grade is not good. Even a C grade is not great either. I hope you have a lot of matches and safeties.

I'm not sure if writing a note of explanation would help. Would a college rather have a smart student who slacked off in a subject, or a student who is actually weak in a subject?

If this is your weak subject, it will help diffuse the D effect. I read in this forum, it can only help especially it's written from the counselor, but a student should not write to explain it because it sounds like a student is making an excuse. In some case, it's not slacking off.

Well you can see from my transcript that science related subjects are my weaker subjects. I wrote a letter to the colleges telling them about my grade I did no whine nor did I complain in it. I just stated the facts and told them my plan to get a tutor and stuff to improve. I guess I could have my counselor write a letter?

Oh yeah no one answered this question yet would retaking the first semester of course along with the second semester of the course this semester and getting a B or A in it look good?
