D will result in no acceptance?

i got accepted into msu (yayy!!) but i have a D in bio ap....if i don't get it up to a C- by the time i send my transcripts in, my acceptance letter will be taken away right? i didn't have a D first semester but i do now and im working really hard to get it up....

Not necessarily. What are the rest of your grades?

right now i have all B’s and a couple A’s but my GPA up until this year was like a 3.5…my lowest grades except for this D were a couple C’s on transcript out of my entire high school life so i’m not like a bad student or anything, haha just really bad at bio ap

You have until the end of school in May/June to get your grade up, right? Your quarter grades won’t be reported anywhere. I thought that MSU wants you to send in your final transcript to prove that you actually did graduate and did fulfill all the requirements for high school graduation, but honestly, I can’t find that actual requirement anywhere on their website (except for athletes).

They DO say,

“If you will be a freshman, successful completion of your senior year schedule, as listed on your application, is a condition of your admission to Michigan State. Note that changes to your senior year class schedule may affect your offer of admission.”

I would try to find out if/when your final transcript has to be sent to MSU. Maybe you can actually avoid sending, if worst comes to worst. My hunch is that a D in ap Bio would still be OK, if your other grades are OK. (But a C would be better.) Ask your school if they offer tutoring.

A single D will not result in no acceptance. Multiple Cs and Ds (or Fs) will, but if you get As/Bs in the rest of your classes they aren’t going to withdraw your acceptance for having a hard time in just one class. Just do your best and don’t worry about it too much
