hello my son is being looked at by a D3 school for soccer and I am wondering if he will be signing a letter of intent or committing if he decides he wants to play there?

Hi montcomajic,

D-3 does not have signing of letter of intent because there are no athletic scholarships given-only academic merit or need-based. Any athlete can commit to a school verbally. However, that does not mean you will be admitted. A coach can verbally commit to have your son on the team in D-3 but again admissions has the final say.
