Da Curve!

It seems like everyone nationally (or so it seems on CC) had a difficult time with science. How do you think the curve will work this time, if it all?

The same question for math btw...

(I'm new to the ACT thing, so bear with me)!

I don't know if I'm thinking too positively, but I estimate the math curve to be -4 = 34 and science curve to be -1 = 35, -2 = 34... which is much better than usual

That kind of a science curve would be wishful thinking, methinks. Generally -1 is a 34, if I am not mistaken.

yea i really despise the science curve...
but with the addition of the problem requiring outside knowledge (chlorophyll isnt found in human cells) and that pretty difficult student chem passage...
wasnt the april curve good

For reading, can -1 still get you a 36 typically? (in the red book, the curve is that for all 3 tests...but what about actual exams administered last year and today?)

I would imagine it is somewhat similar to that, ataraxis. Although, I believe the general consensus is that today's reading section was extremely easy, so it may be a bit harsher... dunno though.

oh yeah whats up the science suddenly requiring outside info
i got to that chlorophyll question and was like where was this in the data?
srsly, i thought it was all interpretation and not knowledge based
i hope the curve is good i really do TT_TT

My curve predictions:
Science: -1 = 35 -2 = 34...
It was difficult, but not nearly as hard as the June one where -4 = 34
You won't see a curve like that on this one.

Math: -1 = 36 -2/-3 = 35 -4/-5 = 34

Reading was extremely easy, don't expect anything generous here. I got a 23 on reading with the PSAE exam in IL in April, but I'm almost sure I aced this one. If I can go from a 23 to a high 30 I wouldn't expect a generous curve at all.

Usually reading has a really harsh curve...I know for the past couple tests -1 = 34~

Science is the only thing that really owned me... I'm hoping for 25+ in that and I'll be ecstatic. Math... I don't think I got more than 4 wrong.. so 33+ should be. Reading... looks too good to be true (judging from SAT score) and looks like I don't have more than 1-2 wrong right now.. but this is no where near a comprehensive list so I don't know, hopefull 33-34+. English.. 36 or 35 easy. Science AH!! What is the curve going from -5 on? I don't have -5 right now according to what we've talked about but that is definitely going to be the case

science- most likely -1=35, -2=34, -3~4=33,...

or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

All the other sections look like 30+ except for Science... I'm guessing, math no more than 6 wrong, english no more than 3-4 wrong, reading no more than 5-6ish wrong, science 7-8 wrong?

Wasn't -1 36 on science section in June?

-1 was a 35 in June for reading, I know. I'm thinking science curve will be similar to June's. It really wasn't that much harder/easier. Hopefully math will be a bit more generous. Meh.

I thought the June science section was easier. I hope the Sept curve is not like what everyone is suggesting. :(

ya everyone is saying that the science curve will be hard ass

but it actually required a good amount of outside knowledge

im hoping it's way lenient

and the math... some one said -4/5 could be a 34 or something that would be awesome
