I don’t think anyone from rise pro has been rejected yet?
@adfundum416 We might have a chance still. I wasn’t contacted by any companies in February though, so I’m pretty sure that’s not a good sign. I haven’t seen anyone get rejected yet from this year, but I saw people posting March 12 of previous years they got rejected. We just have to keep waiting unfortunately. If I see the facebook group created before I get an email, I’m going to take that as a rejection.
So far there are 69 people in there and they are all added to the FB group by a DAAD worker. I’m confused… There are so many people with the same names - how do they know who is who? It would make sense if they ask you to put down your FB link when you accept the offer. If so, there should be available spots still. But again, maybe they haven’t finished adding people yet, or they simply can’t find every accepted person on FB.
If they have about 300 internships and only 70 people in the group so far that sounds positive! Don’t give up hope yet!
True. Based on results of past years, 2012/2013/2014 groups all had more than 300 members.
Here’s some stats:
2011 group members: 224
2012: 316
2013: 352
2014: 327
Those numbers include 2 or 3 group admins, so it’s still a pretty good estimate if you take the admins out.
That would mean about 231 positions left if Facebook accounts for all the accepted members thus far. Why would DAAD spread out acceptances like this?
I am hoping that the 1st round of acceptances has officially accepted now and they’re about to start sending out 2nd round!
On last years RISE thread, the last acceptance in that thread was received on March 12th. 
I’m hoping there’s a huge wave of 2nd round acceptance!
@ccgreen I really think there will be. The only big round of acceptances I’ve seen so far were in the Feb 27-March 3rd range, so there has to be another wave very soon. Fingers crossed for tomorrow or the next day!!
