@adfundum416 Yes, I did hear back saying that I was a candidate. I don’t know what that means since I haven’t gotten any further emails or official confirmation.
So, does anyone know if we can expect more acceptances to be coming? Do they only release them on fridays?

I got my acceptance e-mail on Friday. Molecular bio (plant-based) project in Düsseldorf!

I think the acceptance is based on programs popularity. The programs with the most applicants will have their result first.
I got an email this morning notifying me that I was put on a waitlist.
"We received an overwhelming number of applications this year (2,000), and we are unfortunately not able to offer you a scholarship at this time. But you are on a waiting list at the moment as you have received a high ranking by one of the PhD students you applied to. We are still trying to collect more funds here in Germany and we are in direct contact with your home university.
As always withdrawals can appear you will still have the possibility to get accepted for one of your three internship positions.
We will contact you again as soon as we have new information (March 23th, 2015 at the latest)."
Looking through threads from past years, I don’t see anyone mentioning a waitlist before. Oh well 
@voooxee thanks for the info! I haven’t received an email yet, it’s nerve wrecking. but if I was rejected, they would have sent out an email by now? who knows?

Mechanical engineering, 3.97 GPA, no research experience but very relevant experience to the project I had an interview for. Oh well.
I applied for a few chemistry/biochemistry ones. Which did you get if you don’t mind me asking?
At this point do you think they’re going to stop sending acceptances?

I applied to Biochemistry positions in Saarbrucken, Konstanz, and Biefeld. Still haven’t heard anything (acceptance/rejection/wait list) from RISE. I emailed them Tuesday asking when was the last day they could notify us about positions but no response yet!
I’m worried they might be done sending acceptances now that they’ve sent wait list emails!

Same here… I don’t know what’s worse… Not hearing anything or receiving a rejection/wait list email…
I’d love to find out so I can stop checking my email every 10 minutes! Hopefully we hear tomorrow before the weekend…
