DAAP qualities

Hello!
Next year I might get the chance to spend a semester at UC for my 1st Master Architecture, thanks to an international program organised by my school in Belgium. I read somewhere that DAAP is ranked 2nd best school for architectural design in the nation, could someone tell me why this is? What are the qualities and flaws DAAP has, that other schools don't? (accept financial pluspoints)
Thank you!

I would be surprised if anyone can tell you about the masters program. UC,however, has a very highly ranked program for undergraduate architecture. Not only do that have top notch faculty, top notch facilities, very affordable pricing ,top students, but they have one very unique feature that most top schools of Architecture don't have: paid coops that are integrated into the curriculum. These kids get 6 quarters, which is about one and one -half years of paid experience with various firms throughout the world. VERY few schools can match this. This provides students with real world, practical experience and a much strong resume and portfolio than they would otherwise not have had without such experience.

Accordingly, they are very highly regarded by architecture firms in the US.

I believe that most of the students work on the 6 year Master's degree-not the 4 year and right now the ranking: "UC architecture programs ranked No. 5 (undergraduate) and No. 7 (graduate)"

"The program awards a pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree after four years. Students who apply and are accepted into the graduate program then work towards the two-year, professional Master of Architecture degree."

Bachelor of Science in Architecture

I hope that you have a great visit!
