Dad Mad about My Grades

Before I applied to colleges my dad was in the attitude that, if I get into good schools (Northwestern, in this instance), he’ll be very happy and I’ll pretty much be able to do anything (at the moment I can’t use social media, use my phone, go hang out with my friends really-and I still can’t, I haven’t even asked for anything different). Now he’s saying, if I don’t get my grades up, he won’t support me financially. Well first of all, my mom was already saying that I’d have to pay for everything anyways, so I don’t know if they were on different pages or what. Second, gah. Meddling with finances is always a headache.
Just venting, thanks.

Sending lots of love. Parents can be rough sometimes, but as everyone always says, they just want the best for you. When you go off to college, you’ll be a little separate from them, and get to enjoy having a real life. I’m really sorry about your situation now- it sucks- but honestly, just keep your head up and keep on fighting through. Things will get better. So just keep pushing and reaching and dreaming, and everything will turn out perfectly.

Feel free to PM if you want to vent a little more. <3

@Almondjoy7 thanks so much :slight_smile:

@Pyrefox‌ Did you not get in any good schools?

So you got into Northwestern and your dad is still mad? If that’s the case it’s really silly. Ive heard you want to try to keep at least Bs the last semester but I’m assuming that’s not a problem for you.

So I can’t be here much anymore because he restricted my computer time even more loll but thanks so much guys! It’s nice to be able to talk about it with people :slight_smile:
@ZucchiniSoup I got into Northwestern and Carnegie Mellon, among others
