Dad was assistant professor at UW?

I know if you're out of state and one of your parents went to UW you are considered under in-state guidelines. Well, my dad was an assistant professor at UW when we lived in Seattle (the early-mid 90s). Would this work out for me? Also, i'm a bit confused about the whole legacy thing. How would it work out at UW? Is it then better for me (out of state tuition), or is it worse (in-state accept rate low)?

As far as I’m aware, UW doesn’t support legacy admissions (much less whether funded instate or out of state)

Can you post a link from UW’s website where it discusses this?
thanks!

I’m pretty sure that’s not actually a thing. I’m curious to know where you heard that.

I just checked with an adcom. UW does not consider legacy.
