Dadgum It! AP Scores Cancellation Advice

Hey Guys,

I got my AP scores from collegeboard and I got a 2 in Statistics. With it it brings my average down and prevents me from receiving AP Scholar with Honors. If I cancel that score my average will exactly be a 3.25, so does that mean I will get recognized as a AP Scholar with Honors? Is this a dirty, greedy move? Or am I just trying to secure my place as a good student?

Thanks

I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think that will work. Canceling scores will prevent colleges from knowing, but the college board still does. I would cancel anyway tho :/

I wouldn’t bother canceling. Colleges don’t see your official score report until after you’re accepted–you don’t have to report that 2 if you’re not proud of it.

bump please? that won’t work of course right?

Just forget about it. So what you got a 2 on an AP exam.
Stop wasting your time worrying about it and do something
more meaningful.

You can no longer cancel your score. you can only hide it. Your average is stuck where it is until you take more exams…

I also got a 2 on the AP Stats exam :frowning: However, you shouldnt worry about not getting the award. The AP certificate is the least you should worry about. Colleges dont look at them. Sure, it’s nice to earn it, It’s just for your own recognition that isn’t a part of the college application process. What’s more important are your grades, extracurriculars, and SAT. Trust me, DONT FRET!

@Chikara & Copy: Thanks for the boost in morale, I have been worrying too much!

Actually it depends what you’re looking to do. If it’s for applications, follow what Chikara said.
