Dallas. Texas-Colleges for Doctors or Pharmacist

Hi there, I was wondering if I should go to Texas A&M, Texas Tech, or UT or other schools in Dallas since my parents are moving there and I'm pretty much jumbled up by the websites that are directing me to other places not over there.

I'm setting myself a low goal to becoming a pharmacist, and a higher goal to becoming a Doctor if I can handle the work load. I am currently a resident in Michigan and I have a 3.9 GPA, and I haven't taken the ACT, but I feel really pressured. Also, I haven't taken any extra curricular activities besides self-teaching myself how to draw... which probably drawing isn't considered an extra curricular activity besides volunteering or others...

Oh and a bit off topic, I'm debating to either take AP Calc AB or BC for credit in college if they'll accept it... or do I have to take both, considering I've accelerated a class?

Here are my present/future courses in High School.

12th Grade (A bit iffy on this one)

AP Chemistry
AP Literature
AP Spanish

Hey!

I live in Texas, so I know a bit about those schools. I think you should just apply to all three and see what happens. Of those three, I would go to UT Austin because I enjoy the city atmosphere of Austin. However, my older brother went to A&M (had a blast) and is currently in medical school.

You should see if any of the schools has a pre-med major or a “pre-med track”. That can you help decide as well.

When you get to your Texas school you need to find out your rank. UT and TAMU admit by class rank, with a very limited number of spots going to people outside of the top 7/10% respectively.

When are you moving? I don’t believe you will be eligible for residency (in-state tuition) immediately if your family doesn’t move until the summer after your senior year.

My dad is moving down this summer to Dallas, so I think I’m eligible for residency in Texas down there (Currently a Sophomore in High School). Also, I’m still struggling to find medical schools for both Pharmacy/Family Doctors in Dallas without going over the boundaries. Sigh, it’s probably non existing considering seeing an address that points me over to Austin or Kingsville or whatnot. By the way guys, thanks for the feedback :)
