So Yale is one of my top choices.
How bad does a B- in an IB Maths SL class look?
I should have 2 B+'s, and 1 B-, 5 A's on my second quarter grade, all A's first quarter.
Is that B- my undoing?

Yes, I would like to know as well… But I think that colleges know that senior year is more work than the other years… maybe they’ll consider this fact xD

Plus, I’m in 6 IB Classes, an AP, and Phys. Ed (state requirement)
I wonder if they will overlook my B-?

god damn you senioritis

^amen to that. sen’10ritis

Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. One B- won’t kill you!

A B- is the same as a B+, isn’t it?

Bs are Bs.

there are so many threads with people concerned with midyear grades. LOL

^^^that’s cause it’s midyear report time lol

am I the only person shocked at how good their first semester senior grades are?

my first quarter grades were reallllyyy good, but my second quarter grades weren’t quite as hot haha

@rocketlouise- same. straight A+'s here, first time since freshman year
looks like I cracked the system ;)

straight A+'s? Man, that’s crazy awesome, lol. Though I don’t think that’s possible at my school, or many other schools loll

@ Stupefy, same here :).

actually my courses are usually pretty challenging (I take all AP’s) and I’m really the only one in my grade who gets straight A+'s. but I also think it has to do with finally being able to manage time/work efficiently. I used to be way too anal.

Nice Job rocket6louise, Stupefy, and motion12345! :)

Gosh, Stupe/Motion…good job! At my D’s school an A+ is only a score of 100 (or over…a few teaches offer extra credit). A 99 is an A. If you got all 100s…you are CRAZY good and I am appropriately impressed!

^Haha, no at my school 98-100 is an A+

what’s your GPA stupefy? It must be crazy good

My transcript does not indicate that I got 100% in all of my classes (it only says that I received an A because that’s all my school does), but I did with 2 AP + 1 honors + 1 regular classes. Nothing to be impressed about considering the rest of my high school record (I had a 3.7 UW GPA going into this year…) is substantially lower than everyone’s here.
