I'm having som real trouble not making careless mistakes on the SAT, the Math section in particular. Tips and strategies of how to decrease the amount of careless mistakes would be really helpful.

Here's my situation:
On every test I've done, including both practice and the real deal, I seem to make loads of careless mistakes. On the last Reasoning I did (for real) I left the test center feeling confident; the figure 800 didn't seem that far away. However, when the results were disclosed mine were a feeble 670...
On the first practice test of this "season" (autumn that is), I scored a 790. All careless mistakes totally absent. However, on the test I did yesterday, the second test of the "season", I dropped down to a 670... As I corrected the test I noticed that all except two errors were careless mistakes. A scenario with none of these stupid mistakes would have produced a 770.

I really don't find the SAT math difficult, but always tend to score low due to these careless mistakes. Does anyone have some concrete strategies that I can practice to avoid this problem? Someone with experience of getting rid of careless mistakes?
