Dance classes--how to factor into course load

My daughter is starting at Brown in the fall and interested in continuing to dance. I’m wondering how dance classes through TAPS should factor into her course load. She is used to dancing 20 or more hours a week as an extracurricular. Could she just audit the dance classes and not have it count in her (recommended) 4 courses? Or would this be a case where it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to take a 5th class? She would be interested in taking TAPS 1310 Advanced Modern Dance and/or TAPS 1350 Dance Performance and Repertory (which is by audition only and I am guessing might be associated with one of the performing groups?–still waiting for a response to D’s email).

A related question–she was told the Advanced Modern Dance class changes with each offering because outside instructors come in. Am I correct in assuming that the class would be audited if it is repeated? (She doesn’t care about using dance credits for graduation–she has the opposite problem–how to pack in all of the classes she wants to take.)

For context, she currently plans to purse a Sc.B. in Astrophysics.

Thanks!
