Dance Program?

Hi...I was wondering if anyone had any information on the dance program?
Can you major or minor?
What are the classes like?
Are their performance opportunities?
Do you need to audition?
Any information is helpful!

Here is a link with information on the dance program at Northwestern on their website.
Major in Dance: School of Communication - Northwestern University;
I think you can do it as either a major or minor. I pretty sure you have to audition, cause you do at mot schools for performing arts types programs, especially if you do it as a major. Also, I’m sure there are performance opportunities through Northwestern, but since you are near Chicago, there are also a lot of other dance companies and programs you could look into.

I don’t think NU requires an audition for dance. I could be wrong. They don’t require one for theater. However, I think they carefully scrutinize a resume and application to see training.

I was in an informational session at the School Of Communication back in October when I visited before applying Early Decision. They do not require an audition; they do it entirely off of what you show them. Only Music majors audition.
