Hi! I am applying to Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Andover, Exeter and Masters School and I was just wondering in which of these schools is the dance program stronger.
Thanks!

Momo-That is a difficult question to answer. I have a daughter who is a Deerfield and is a long time dancer (12 years). She loves the program and is able to take dance as a 6th class (pass/fail option) and as a co-cirr. She is not an athlete but will take club swim in the winter term (now) and is considering cycling in the spring term. Thus she is able to continue what she loves (dance) and learn/try new things (swim and cycling). I will admit this makes her extremely busy.

I know that SPS has an outstanding dance program, I am pretty sure it is the only bs with its on dance company. I believe that there is a new head of dance this year. They have some graduates attend Julliard and dance professionally.

I have no idea which of the other school have “good” programs at this level of schools I believe that these schools have very good if not great programs.

Yeah, SPS has an awesome dance program. You can take classes and, if you are good, be in the ballet company. A really large amount of people are dancers.

Exeter has a dance company as well as a great dance program. Their dance team has concerts, and they also have various extra curricular dance programs to supplement the dance class.

Thank you all so much!

I think my tour guide said Emma Willard had a dance company, but I’m not sure. Both my guides were dancers and loved the dance program at EW. :)
