<p>I know that baldwin wallace is a B.M., so it’s more focused on music. My question is do graduates come out triple threats, or do they audition for more ‘singer/actor’ roles? I’m asking because I have 3 years of dance training, and I hope to continue that training at a high level, so I can audition for chorus calls and hopefully become more hirable!</p>

<p>With our new dance teacher (Greg Daniels), our dance requirements have changed quite a bit! The minimum would be that you’re in two 7:00 am ballet classes and two other dance classes (jazz, tap, modern, ballet) a week. There is always a possibility of more. You get as much out of the dance aspect as you choose to! </p>

<p>Back in August you mentioned here on CC the new dance instructor (Greg Daniels) and the new increased dance requirements for MT majors. Now that you have had about one semester to experience this new program, how is it working out?
Is it what you expected? Better? worse?
I have applied to BW and visited the campus and I liked it a lot; but I want to make sure the dance program for MT majors is very good.

<p>Well, I can answer your question as a Freshman MT! I’m a dancer, so I really wanted to have a school with a strong dance curriculum. BW’s dance requirements are great! During my first semester at BW, the freshman took 7:00am Ballet Bootcamp twice a week, and Tap and another Ballet class twice a week. You can choose to go to Ballet Bootcamp Monday - Thursday is you want! They are all different levels. This semester, the freshman are taking Jazz and Modern twice a week as well as Ballet Bootcamp! </p>
<p>During your 4 years here, you will take 4 levels of Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and Tap. This semester, BW is offering a pointe class that you may be invited to join. </p>
<p>One of my favorite things about the MT program at BW is how much dance classes we get!(As well as dance masterclasses!). </p>
