Dance

Hi, I'm interested in compiling a list of MT schools with the most emphasis on dance. Can anyone help me?

Here is a link to the most recent thread on this topic:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/musical-theater-major/1176934-what-schools-have-best-programs-dance.html</a></p>

Check out Ball State University.
They have a very elite dance curriculum for their dance majors, minors, and Musical Theatre majors. They have high ranking levels in Tap, Jazz, Improvisation, Modern, as well as dance pedagogy, choreography classes, and endless other dance related courses on top of everything musical theatre.
Their dance department continues to grow more and more every year. From a large variety of guest artists to numerous dancing opportunity, Ball State is thriving in dance along with it’s notorious MTO program. :)

Look at–
[Ball State University - Theatre and Dance](http://www.bsu.edu/theatre)

to learn more about BALL STATE’S theatre & dance department.

I will echo emsdad’s recommedation to look at the other MT dance thread. Meanwhile, Kylerkays - I wonder by what measure you assign “very elite” and “high ranking” to Ball State? I agree that Ball State has a good dance program - but would not use the word “elite” relative to their musical theater program. Please take this as a friendly inquiry, I would really be interested in your criteria.

Pace just stated an emphasis of Commercial dance in their Theatre dept. Much enthusiasm and energy.
