<p>I'm a lifelong dancer searching for a school with a competitive dance program. I'm interested in a program with a strong ballet base, but extensive opportunities in other styles, particularly contemporary and jazz. If anyone is familiar with a certain school's dance program, please share the details here!</p>
<p>bama–quite a few schools have wonderful dance programs. IMHO SPS has the most series progam, even some of their girls have gone on to dance professionally. Their focus is classical ballet with other forms taking more of a back seat. Deerfield has an excellent program, strong classical but also a wide variety of forms from modern, jazz, to hip-hop and tap. Miss Porter’s also has a great program with a great reputation. also,word of mouth, Taft has a great program also.</p>

<p>Thanks for the information! SPS’s program is obviously fantastic, but seems very ballet focused, which is something I’m not necassarily looking for.</p>

<p>As I’ve told you before <em>coughpressurecough</em> NMH has a FANTABULOUS dance program. 
(they’re work program really isn’t that big of a deal!)</p>
