@calypte yes she has heard back with several acceptances, a couple call backs and a couple of no’s. She is going to reaudition at two in February since she’s finally starting to feel better and knows she really wasn’t at her best in that audition! She’s still waiting to hear from a couple, and just finished the applications so hopefully she’ll get her audition results from them soon ? A couple of weekends ago she did a smaller college fair/audition in Chicago and she felt much better about it. It was mostly Midwest schools, and she got many acceptances from there as well. She’s at the point where I think it’s getting overwhelming. We finally decided to make a spreadsheet with two lists, one for her top choices and another for her second choices, and then once she knows where she’s accepted and what scholarships are offered compared to the cost, she can make a decision. I don’t expect that will happen for a few months since some of those notifications won’t come out until spring. It’s an interesting journey though! ? Hope your daughter is hearing acceptances from her top choices!
One of my students attended Dancewave as well. Have either of you guys heard from Point Park yet? She has heard from quite a few with acceptances, but we were wanting to hear from Point Park the most.
We expect to hear from Point Park next week. She inquired with them last week, and found out that you have to be admitted academically first. Then they told us they meet Tuesday mornings to review artistic acceptances. She received her academic acceptance last week, so they told her she should hear next week ? She’s prepared to reaudition since she definitely was not at her best at Dancewave.
Do you know if they will let her reaudition? They have a 1x per year audition policy but it seems that it at be different when it is at a multi-school multi-audition event. We haven’t called to ask about that but wondering if anyone knows.
@NavigatingMom While we were at Dancewave we asked Point Park specifically about reauditioning and they said yes she would be able to reaudition if needed. Luckily for her she doesn’t need to ? She got her acceptance with a nice scholarship in the mail the other day!
