Danforth

just a question
I was nominated and applied for the Danforth scholarship...if you are a finalist you are required to be on campus for interviews March 22-25
when is the earliest we will find out if we are finalists???
I am going to Mexico with all of my friends and we are leaving March 25 (scheduled this before I found out I was nominated)....I would possibly be able to rearrange my flight but it would be incredibly difficult
i called in and they said I would learn a week to two weeks before but i doubt id be able to rearrange an international flight in only seven days....this could be a problem

when did people hear back last year?....also.....what time was the program done on sunday??

Most of the scholarships by the end of February, and the last day is usually the flight back, so don't worry about it.

In the past Danforth notifications have occured towards the end of February. You will be notified if you are chosen as a semi finalist. If chosen, attendance at the all expense paid interview weekend is mandatory. Semi finalist may also assume that they have been accepted to WashU. The formal program concludes on Saturday. WashU has been accomodating in working with people that have to leave a little early due to a conflict. If you are chosen, contact the program coordinator to see if you can leave either late Saturday or early Sunday. They have been very good in solving such conflicts in the past.

You can PM me if you have any other questions.

Wow I am actually suffering the same dilemma... I have a cruise to Mexico scehduled, and the interview dates are right in the middle of the cruise dates. The school should be releasing the information regarding semi-finalists pretty soon so I'm hopeful, but hey, if not, there's nothing wrong with a week in Mexico!

if you're coming in march, chances are you'll be living on my floor, Danforth 3, which houses all but 2 or 3 danforths (i'm not one of them). if you have any questions about the scholarship, just ask.
