<p>I don't know if this will really work against you, but they said you shouldn't take two SAT IIs from really similar subjects. It looks like you took both of the maths, and they advised against that.</p>
<p>bashi, with your financial situation you should NOT do ED anywhere. NYU does not commit to meet your full demonstrated need, and there will be plenty of comparable schools that will give you a full ride (with work/study, of course) with zero loans.</p>
<p>AS an URM (and a male) I think you have a fighting chance! GPA is NOT Horrible nor is the ACT...low yes, but for a black male not so bad especially since you have financial issues. Essay idea sounds FACINATING! I Think an adcom will be impressed.</p>

but with 20,000/year you might have a hard time paying for NYU and i guarantee you that they will not give you a full ride. NYU is VERY stingy when it comes to giving financial aid so i hope you plan on taking out huge loans.......</p>
