<p>It says on the confirmation form that as a participant in the program, I would reside in the Acker Scholars Housing unit in the Ellicot complex. Can anyone tell me how those dorms are and whether or not I would still have to register for housing? (I already paid the housing deposit). Thanks (:</p>
<p>That notice is simply telling you where you will be living. You still need go through the housing registration steps. If you’ve paid the housing deposit, that’s part of the process. Ellicott is the larger dorm complex, there are several first-year and special interest housing units there.</p>
<p>I was placed into this area a few years ago because I had applied for housing late and was placed there when a Ackers Scholar decided to live elsewhere. The rooms are no different than any other rooms. All of the kids in this program are just placed in rooms next to each other. It gives you all something in common immediately, so its a nice way to meet people.</p>
