Did anyone here apply to the diversity program?
Does anyone known when acceptances/denials usually come?

Well, you’ll find out pretty soon because October 22nd is coming up in just a few weeks! As a side note, remember that admission into the Diversity Achievers Program is NOT related to admission into Lehigh. If you accepted or denied, you still may be accepted to Lehigh’s actual class.

Best of luck,
- Mike

I applied. Didn’t receive anything from them yet.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Do people who are not accepted get notices as well?

Acceptances were given out via email today, I got notified that I got accepted so check your email today to find out!

Emir101: I got accepted as well! Just accepted the invitation.
Im so excited

That’s awesome! Yo we should so be in contact with each other. I can’t wait till Oct 21st.

I just got the acceptance as well!

Will all those who got into DAP get admitted to Lehigh eventually?

Apparently it’s not related to admissions but it probably will give us a boost in terms of showing interest in the school

And congrats!

DAP is not directly related to the admissions process. So you won’t be accepted to Lehigh just because you did DAP - and likewise you may not necessarily be rejected from Lehigh if you weren’t invited into DAP, so don’t worry about it too much.

Remember, Lehigh takes a hollistic approach - they consider everything. Doing DAP if you’re invited) obviously shows you have interest in Lehigh, so it should help a little bit.

Best,

Emir101; yeah definitely! I can’t wait to go.

Congrats to everyone who got in. See you there

How’d you like DAP, Emir? I really enjoyed it!

I really loved DAP, it was fun and nice to meet a lot of people, sit in an actual class room environment, sleep in a dorm and run around on campus. It really sold me into having Lehigh as my top choice. Due to DAP, I literally have been scrambling around trying to remember/find people’s names ( missing only the last names) to add them on fb to keep in contact. The one thing I regret was not being able to meet/speak to everyone. I miss everyone!

DAP was such an amazing experience. It is one of the reasons I decided to switch my ED school and jump to Lehigh. I was so impressed with the class I sat in on (300 level Environmental Engineering class) and the people I talked to and the campus.
I am so excited to have gotten “the feeling” about a school.
I miss everyone too, I met some awesome people but I didn’t get to know a lot of people and kind of spoke to the same people for the duration… mistake!

So, I meant to write this on here a lot earlier but it totally slipped my mind. Anyway, for all those who participated in DAP, this might help to put your minds at rest.

During the DAP I asked one of the admission directors how often those who are accepted into the program get rejected from the school, and she said “rarely ever” she went on to explain that Lehigh wouldn’t spend a lot of money getting you to come out to the school/ accommodating all needs, and getting you excited about coming to Lehigh to than turn you down. She also explained that when each person was accepted to DAP they had gone through a review process similar to the one for admission to the University. Thus, in essence, Lehigh already showed that they liked what they saw by just accepting you to the DAP. On that note, it seems that being accepted to DAP might serve more in your favor than you may think.
