what do you think colleges will think when they see this on an app?
(daughter's of the american revolution good citizen award)
And when do we find out if we made it past the first cut?

Hey, I got that award too and I’m putting it on my application. I have no idea when we find out about the first cut… (for the scholarship, right?)

What’s a DAR…?

Daughters of the American Revolution. You can read about it here: [Daughters of the American Revolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Daughters of the American Revolution - Wikipedia)

Hehe everytime I think of DAR I think of Emily Gilmore. :)

bumpit bump bump

has anyone heard anything yet?
my counselor said she got a bunch of dates for presentation of awards, but i haven’t gotten a thing yet…
Also, if anyone already at a university recieved this as a senior, it would be great if we could know if it helped at all…
Thanks in advance

I thought you couldn’t join the DAR (and get scholarships) until you were 18… (unless, of course, you all are).

Apparently you can because I got to compete for the scholarship and I’m still 17 (turning 18 next year)… they have different scholarship programs for high school seniors and students already in college…

And no, I haven’t heard anything yet rockthwer22! I’m glad you haven’t either because I was getting worried that I didn’t get it… there is still hope!

"Hehe everytime I think of DAR I think of Emily Gilmore. "

Lol same here!!

does anyone have any information about when we find out about all of this?

and, by the way, I am only 17 too, so I don’t think 18 is a requirement…
