I have my Brown alumni interview coming up, and all I have to wear are dark jeans and a plaid button shirt. The jeans are tighter, but don’t look like skinny jeans, and the only shoes I own are sneakers. Will I be dressed appropriately, or will this negatively impact my interview?
I forgot to add that the interview is at a high school, if that matters.
Button shirt is fine. Dark jeans might be iffy. For Brown you probably should go khakis. Do you have a decent pair of dress shoes (laces or clog looking?) Sneakers are a no no.
Where do you live? It makes a big difference. In the northwest, you are fine dressed that way, especially if the interview is at school. If you are clean and neat, you’ll be fine. Please don’t feel that you have to go out and buy something for an alumni interview. Wearing sneakers to an alumni interview will not keep you from getting admitted to Brown.
