Who knows if I have a shot at Dart ED? I sure hope so....

A good chance, even.

What state, what’s your approx income level, intended major, courseload, SAT II’s?

From what I see, you’re pretty similar to me. Except your EC’s are much better. I’d say a shoo-in?

NJ, middle income (prob no fin. aid), hardest course load possible, I take SAT IIs on Saturday… I’d also like to mention that my sat scores are horrific, and I’d like to know if admissions will truly disregard those scores, and look at my ACT. Oh, major could be neuroscience, political science, psych, sociology, who knows?

You seem to have a pretty good chance! Keep working hard, and be confident!

I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in ED, but then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t get in. It’s all a numbers game. Are you qualified to be a Dartmouth student? Definitely. Does that mean the admissions people will recognize this too? Definitely. Does that mean you will get in? Who knows.

The one thing I have realized after getting accepted and meeting other accepted students is that they clearly aren’t trying to accept purely the smartest class possible. Everybody is extremely talented in their own way. But they are looking to ‘build a class’ as they say. They might be dying for a tennis playing jazz saxophonist, or they might not be.

Thanks a lot guys. I’d love any more opinions?

I’d say 60/40, maybe a little higher. 60 % chance you get in of course

dont worry, u have a very good chance of getting in.

around 3.85-3.9 (all As)

Yeah, I definitely agree with what Dartmoose said.

just write a great essay— and you’ve got a great shot (:
good luck.

I think you have a good chance at ED. I did ED for 2012 and I got in with midrange SAT scores with similar stats and EC’s. Just make sure you essay is amazing.

So to update, I got a 2180 on my sats (780/720/680) and subpar satIIs (some in the high 600s)…Now I’m getting kinda nervous. Maybe it’s just the pre-decision butterflies. Is this nervousness warranted?

Everybody is nervous at this point. You’ve got an OK shot. It will depend, in part, on your essays and letters of recommendation. Let’s hope those are killer. You appear to have a type of personality that D likes. Best of luck!!
