<p>I think you have a good shot, I would try to retake a subject test to get at least one over 700 and I am not great at assessing ACTs compared to SATs but I think 33 is in the 35%ile more or less? So your AP grades, essays, recs could well be the deciding factor. Your gpa is stellar so that is good. Its hard to know. Are you latino? I see you are in hispanic honor society so assume so. Did you win National Merit commended, or NHRP? I am a believer in taking the SAT 1 but if your score was not great don’t submit it…my D has had a couple probs with Math II due to just taking some of the pre-calc material covered this semester and the speed factor of the test. She tried a Math I and just got a 780 on a practice. I am not sure whether its beter to hand in a Math II 670 or a Math 1 780 but since you said you have the most APs and if you already taken courses covering pre-calc and calc I guess you sort of have to go with Math II…but you might want to check. If you have read Hernandez book when they calculate you academic index the SAT subj tests count like 1/3 of the SAT so it matters. Also, they use class rank in the formula so that is not listed. I think if you list your APs and scores and tell me what you think your recs and essays are like I could give you a better answer–and I am no expert but going through the process myself- and we also really really liked Dartmouth…thinking also about ED as well. Good luck, hope this helps…I would definitely give it a shot as I think you have the best shot of an ED either here or maybe Columbia…good luck.
