Any advice on getting off waitlist at Dartmouth? Additional letters of rec? Grades? A visit to Admissions? What are realistic odds?
No one has been admitted off the waitlist in two years, I would guess that chances of getting off the waitlist this year are near 0
UPDATE: Dartmouth is overenrolled and it is highly unlikely that they would go to the waitlist this year. Within the next two weeks, they will get in touch (probably with a rejection).
Thanks for this update @someone121 !
@someone121 What is the source of this information?
I emailed them and that was their answer
@someone121 i just emailed them on the 10th of may and they said that they still do not have any insight on the waitlist at this time?
@someone121 Do you know what is their class size? Did they give out any stats?
The part that is overenrolled someone mentioned at reddit - “I heard from someone at Dartmouth admission/FA office that many admitted students (more than they anticipated) decided accepting the offer this time. They have already over-admitted and therefore they will not take anybody from WL this year.” And when I email they answered “We will be getting in touch with waitlisted applicants in the coming week or two. That said, It is highly unlikely that Dartmouth will go to the waitlist this year.”
Just got email from Dartmouth admissions confirming that they will not accept anyone off the waitlist this year.
Due to high yields this is the third year in a row no one has been accepted from the Dartmouth wait list.
Yep. Dartmouth will not be activating the waitlist this year due to over enrollment.
