Years past show correlation between date changes in financial aid portals to acceptances, not a ton of data to back it up but previous year’s forums are an interesting read. Either way, three weeks and two and a half hours left!
Oh, in that case…sad.
I didn’t turn in CSS Profile and IDOC until February
My Dartmouth Financial Aid Portal was updated again w/ more documents downloaded yesterday… I sent these in a very long time ago. Maybe redownloaded?
Anyone else have these docs:
Received Federal Verification Form 03/05/2020
Received Non-Filer Statement (Student) 03/05/2020
@Xxdreams did Dartmouth email you about it during the ED decision period?
No, because I did not initially apply for FA. Then I was like I can’t afford this lol
Hey
So a few days ago I was asked to send some tax documents to Dartmouth and I did. When I went to my checklist, I saw that requirement now being ticked off , which made sense, but I also saw a new requirement “Communication received from family” and it was also ticked off having the same receiving date as the tax documents.
Does anyone know what this means???
Yes, my portal shows both, each with new late Feb date. Original date was much earlier.
Well I turned in my CSS at early December with a received date of around same time. Then I submitted my IDOC documents and tax documents in early January and did not check Dartmouth again ever because Dartmouth never requested IDOC documents, but I somehow get like it was once received on my Dartmouth portal FA section. And then the other day I check it showed that the received date as sometimes around mid-February. They did not update my portal for about over a month I guess. If this has any correlation to acceptance I am in wild joy, but I really don’t think it has anything to do with that. Maybe just they did not go through them until around this time of the year.
@rocketlauncher77 When you said redownloaded, did you mean the entire application material or just the fa ones?
Anyone else get an automated FA email saying “although admissions is still deliberating… your financial aid is incomplete…” then when I checked the portal it’s asking me to submit a schedule E. What exactly is a schedule E?
Per the IRS: “Use Schedule E (Form 1040) to report income or loss from rental real estate, royalties, partnerships, S corporations, estates, trusts, and residual interests in real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMICs).”
There must be a reference to this Schedule on your 2018 Tax Return, and they want the details.
Do you mean the peer recommendation or the additional recommendation?
I also recently got a request for a schedule E. Does this mean anything ?
I think it means that they want to see your Schedule E.
At this point in time I can’t imagine them asking for that to reject you in two weeks.
Well… I believe the Financial Aid and Admission Offices are different.
Good luck everyone! Responding to earlier comments- I conduct alumni interviews. Interviews don’t correlate with prospects; more about availability of alumni in the area. Plenty of people are accepted without them. It’s an amazing school, hope you all get in!
Hi! So, I received some emails from Dartmouth Financial Aid office, the last one asking about a really specific information on my parents income. The thing is: I just received an email about scheduling an interview, but I already had an interview with a student in January. I am an international student and I basically need a full ride, so I was wondering if this second interview could be about their specific scholarship. Does anyone know about second interviews and its correlation with their scholarship?
(it’s not a merit scholarship, it’s still financial aid but there are some specific benefits and it’s for international students who want to promote social change in their home country)
@rh1616 you’re 99.9% in. Congratulations! King’s scholarship?
