I will be applying RD, but I wanted to wish everyone applying ED the best of luck! I hope you all receive some fantastic news this December.
Have a nice day.

When do ED decisions come out?
I applied…not very hopeful lol
i swear if they come out on friday the 13th im dead
I feel like we have a good shot at getting decisions Dec 12th because it looks like they released on a Thursday the past two years. I’m figuring Dec 13th at the latest as the CSS profile said financial aid applications placed by Nov 1st would have Dec 13th notification and they won’t notify you of financial aid before admissions. I really hope my DD makes the cut, she only has eyes for Dartmouth right now so there would be a grieving process before her other decisions come in for sure.
I am applying RD, best of luck to all of you ED applicants!
shouldn’t we get an email within the next week about when decisions will be out?
@boogy2020 - Yes, when CommonApp was submitted ED back in Oct, a confirmation email came from Dartmouth Admissions saying, “…Decision notifications will be released in mid-December; you will be emailed prior to the release date to let you know exactly when notifications will go live.” No email here yet.
Good Luck to all early decision applicants! Feeling so nervous too anyone know when the results will be out? Haven’t seem to receive any news about that yet.
Ya, I applied as a Questbridge student, and when I didn’t match, I moved my application to early decision.
Hi everyone! I applied RD, and I hope all ED applicants get great news this December! Also, I just got a notification about an alumni interview! Can anyone tell me what to expect?
Did anyone else who applied ED that applied financial aid with divorced parents? If so did the year of the noncustodial taxes on the application portal say 2017 initially but then change to 2018 very recently?
mostly just be yourself i guess
I got the email below on the 30th of November and a personalised reply from the finacial aid assistant. Should I be hopeful about my decision coming out this week?
@Shinestein This email was sent out if there are errors or blanks in the financial aid information. If you look at last year’s thread, people were speculating so much about this when in reality it indicates nothing about your admission, Dartmouth is smarter than sending out an email to indicate acceptance. Good luck though!
I received the same email a couple of days ago. The Financial aid checklist previously CSS and Financial aid Material - Both Ticked off.
When I checked it after the email, there was a cross mark on IT returns, but I had already sent em in before. Called em up to clarify. It was updated within 2 hrs. I did not receive a personalized email though.
Now, the financial aid material element is no longer there. There’s just the IT returns and CSS.
So far this year, I’ve seen 3 cases:
I’m international btw. Does anyone know of international students getting rejected despite IT returns showing up on their checklist?
P.S. Ig this is just a sign that we’ve been rejected yet. It would make little sense to start arranging a Finaid package for all the applicants.
@Falcone11 It doesn’t mean anything! Don’t stress out about it, and there’s nothing you can do now that can impact your application.
Good luck everyone! We’re really in the homestretch now! What other schools are you guys applying to?
Good luck to all the EA applicants! You’ll do great!
What are some good target school if rejected from Dartmouth. That are similar?
