According to the common app, we need to add an extra recommendation apart from the teachers recommendations. Most people get peer recommendations but can I get a recommendation from someone I know online? I have a peer recommendation and the online person's recommendations both ready and I just have to choose. The online one is far better. I would thoroughly appreciate help =)</p>
<p>I’d tread carefully with the wording of your question, though. I don’t know if you’re “technically” allowed to read the recs.</p>
<p>If Dartmouth says they went a peer recommendation and the online person is a peer then that recommendation letter should work great! If not it might not work for the type of recommendation letter they are looking for.</p>
<p>It is supposed to be a peer recommendation, someone who knows you well and is a same-age peer – not a coach, not an instructor, not a priest. I have no idea what you mean by an “online person’s” recommendation.</p>
