Dartmouth Campus in 3-D

I forget if anyone posted about this, but it was mentioned today in my class and I just think it is really cool...

If you search Dartmouth College on Google Earth and check off 3-D Buildings under the Layers panel on the left, you can see all the the Dartmouth buildings in 3-D.

All the libraries, campus buildings, frats and sororities, dorms... they're all there.

A group of Dartmouth students won a Google competition for creating this.

I saw it and I must say it was awesome! Worth a look!

But it sure blew up my internet Data Transfer limit! :D

Yeah, I got an e-mail about it, and I checked it out! It was sooo cool. I don't know how they did most of those buildings in such detail (like that inter-faith chapel next to wheeler+the library. I heard that they did this thing where you could see 3 different eras of the school. Like what the campus looked like in 1800, 1900, and 2007 or something, but I couldn't figure out where to switch the timeline or something. Also, there was this really nice big picture in that Dartmouth newsletter thing sent to all parents of students.

You got an email? jeez...they never send anything to me these days...
