Can you drive as a freshman at Dartmouth? Seems like it would be a must. Is Boston pretty much the closest airport?
P.S. I'm still in High School in NC

Lebanon (N.H.) Municipal Airport, 10 miles from the Dartmouth campus, is served by several daily flights from New York (LaGuardia), Boston (Logan) and Philadelphia International airports. Consult your travel agent for connection information. Manchester, N.H., Airport is 90 minutes south, with bus service to Hanover from Manchester.

I just looked at the Lebanon airport site and it looks like USAir serves only Laguardia, not Logan. Is that a change, or am I missing something? Do other carriers fly from Logan to Lebannon? Thanks.

Logan airport in Boston is the big international airport so they can catch pretty much anything.

I believe that southwest flies into manchester . I would suggest checking your local airline to see which ones fly to logan, manchester and lebanon airports.

Freshmen cannot have cars. Although the school does allow some cars between Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. And in the winter the parking office will send a blitz asking those freshmen who are interested in having a car for spring term to put their names into a lottery.

Bus service runs frequently from in front of the Hanover Inn to Manchester and to Logan (and train station in Boston). I think most of D's friends flew in and out of Manchester.
