Dartmouth: Reach

What are your non-reaches?

Matches: College of the Holy Cross, Fordham, Santa Clara, Villanova, Loyola Marymount. Would it change my chances for Dartmouth if I applied ED?

I think it would also help to have 2 SAT II tests that could possibly relate to your major / that you’re good at. Ex: I want to be a chemist so I will take the chemistry and either the Math 1 or 2 test.

Taking SAT II this weekend. Thank you!

I think that Dartmouth would be a reach for anyone but you have fantastic qualifications. The only thing I would worry about if I were a college admissions officer would be that you have so many extracurriculars that an admissions officer might not think you are dedicated to all of them and sort of float around to fill up all the lines available for extracurriculars. I’ve been told many times that colleges want a few that you are dedicated to and not 15 that fill up your resume so I might leave out some of the ones that you consider to be less essential (the ones that you didn’t stick with). My mom is an admissions officer.

Thank you for the advice!
