I don’t have any hooks, and I am an Asian female. What are my chances of getting in? tAlso, sorry about the formatting- I don’t know how to change it.
I’m gonna say it’s a reach. Your ACT and GPA are really good but your SAT II scores could stand to be a little higher. Also is your senior year schedule the most rigorous it could be? Your ec’s seem impressive though. The essay will play a big role. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Seems like you are a typical applicant for Dartmouth. I think you have pretty good chances. You obviously have amazing test scores, although your course load could be heavier (i am assuming that World History and US history are the only AP classes you took before junior year). You have a decent GPA, and good extracurriculars. I think you have a decent chance for getting accepted ED. I would go for it!!! Chance back?
Thanks for the feedback! My school only offers AP world and AP bio for sophomores and AP us history and AP chem for juniors. I know I will not be majoring in science, so I did not take either of those APs. Besides those two classes, I have taken the most rigorous course load offered at my school (taking the honors/highest level of classes that do not have APs). My school also doesn’t offer AP English, which is why I’m taking an English elective senior year. I will probably be retaking some SAT II tests, but does anyone know if those can sway a decision? Thanks again!
I was accepted ED to Dartmouth this year, and I think you have a good chance if you apply ED and write good essays. Good luck!
I was accepted RD with a 800 on Math II and a 670 on Literature. Don’t worry about your scores! You have decent chances
@sybbie719 I’ve gotten D3 offers but I’m pretty much giving up on getting recruited since the schools I want to go to are all D1.
At the very least you should contact the coach at Dartmouth. He could help you and maybe recruit you as a walk on if you are lucky.
