Dartmouth Class of 2017 ED Applicants

Well, I’m an international student from East Asia, no less, so probably less chances than any of you lol

Haha way to go math Asians! x)

I got 2360 SAT (760 Reading)

770 Bio 780 World History and 740 Math II (Sadly)

Is it sad that an international beat me in critical reading? -mope- -nochance-

Hahaha I’m thinking I should have taken the SAT I a second time now after seeing all of your scores!

@magentaturtle okay what the hell your scores are kick ass

Yours are about the same, if not better :P

Guess this is what Dean Laskaris meant when she said standardized test scores were high

lol @tig2013

It would be absolutely fantastic if everyone here posting got in…

Ugh, I feel like I have no chance now… do you think really good extra currics/leadership and gpa can o/w average test scores?

Probably. Admissions evaluate “holistically”, as they love to say, and they’d have to look at your applications as a whole.

I wonder if they look at your high school too though, officially or not… My hs has an admission rate to D ED of 0 (may have been weaker applicants but still) so I’m kinda resigning myself to hoping for a defer…

I know it’s important to be realistic, but I can’t bring myself to want anything other than an acceptance… I need Thursday to come already…

Yeah same with me… I wonder how “holistic” they actually are though.

And my school counselors are terrible too… When I asked my counselor about admissions at small LACs up northeast last year, all she could give me was advice for admission at WashU.

Im sure Dartmouth will look at the context of the school you are coming from. And schools as small and selective as Dartmouth always weigh leadership/extracurriculars/personal experience very heavily

Hopefully the ED applicants who care enough to keep up here CC are the ones that Dartmouth is more interested in! :)

lol, I think the moment I have to actually check my results I’ll be coming up with all the reasons why I shouldn’t be accepted and just trying to not get too disappointed

@magentaturtle: part of me is telling myself to pull back expectations, but the other part is full of hope haha… too much conflict, its killing me

Pliz accept me

I keep saying that also Aspirare!

PLEASEE TAKEEEEE ME!

My only 1 complaint: Dartmouth’s applicant portal is the most basic portal in the world.

I’m fine with basic, as long as it tells me what I want to see and it doesn’t crash come Thursday.
