Dartmouth Class of 2017 ED Applicants

It just sounds amazing doesn’t it? Really hope we all get in…

Out of curiosity… any other intended biology majors? or pre-meds?

I think I put pre-med as my 2nd choice, economics as my first.

If any of you are worried about coming to New Hampshire, don’t be. I personally live here and love it. I moved in middle school from another NE state and absolutely hated it, I just hated the idea of it. And I have slowly fallen in love with the quaint, beautiful, and timeless state. I toured stunning schools all around the nation but I just kept coming back to Dartmouth and it didn’t compare to anything. I drove up by myself for my final visit on a classic NH fall day when I was in deep turmoil about where to apply early. After 5 minutes on the green I knew I had to apply here, it just felt right. So just my two cents, but you will come to love New Hampshire and all it has to offer.

magentatutle, are you looking to study pre-med with a economics major?

Not too sure grayson… I was thinking of doing economics and then something else, but I’m not too sure if I want to head in the medicine direction. What about you?

lolololol Literally anything I post in this thread gets immediately ignored by you all. I really just dont think I’m a true CC’er. You all are on a different thought process than me.

No, it was nice jonezi! Haha, thanks for that. It’s just that I’m sure most of us would have no issue with going to New Hampshire, or we wouldn’t be here right now :P

I’m not sure on my exact career path yet, but I like the idea of the medical field, specifically medical research. So I was thinking of starting out doing pre-med and with a major in biology, but I also like history and math and i was considering economics at one point.
That’s another reason I liked Dartmouth, you’re admitted to the college in general, not the SEAS, business school, CAS, etc.

Yeah, and with the D-Plan everything is so flexible. Dartmouth is great :P

It kind of scares me how much we all love the school… Hopefully the decisions come back positively.

yeah, its hard communicating on here because it doesn’t upload automatically while you are reading or typing

Me too, as a pre-law myself I have no idea what I want to major in, I just want to leave all my options open! Though, as my interviewer pointed out, that’s kind of a classic answer lol.

@jonezi, thanks for the post about New Hampshire. I was initially a bit worried about how cold it was, but heck, if it’s for Dartmouth I guess I’d like anything (unless it’s Alaska maybe, then I’d have to reconsider lol)

I want to do Neuroscience or Government. The fact that Dartmouth has a fMRI for undergrad use is amazing

Wow we are all economics or bio on here. I personally listed both as my two choices. Though, I have no idea on any type of career path. Possibly medical, possibly investing, possibly anything.

Jonezi, I loved your post, it’s weird…It’s how I felt when I walked on the green too.

Dartmouth did post something on their facebook page 16 minutes ago… Not that that really signifies anything whatsoever :P

I interned in neurosugery with a Dartmouth undergrad the summer before my junior year and she was majoring in neuroscience and she loved it there! I’m considering that or international relations

I’m planning on majoring in bio too! Haha so many biologists here :)

Add me to the list of premeds, lol

If you haven’t seen this already, it’s an entertaining diversion from worrying about Dartmouth decisions
