Anyone visiting Dartmouth this summer and thinking about ED class of 2018? This thread is for conversation and decisions in the upcoming months

Good early start!

Thinking about EDif i can ace next sat… Dont think 2240 is enough :(

I plan to but it depends on if I get into Dartmouth Bound really…I love the school though!

Thinking about applying ED, but I most likely will be applying in the RD round. Dartmouth is a great place. Good luck to us all throughout this college application process! :)

I probably will go ED

I like a lot of things about Dartmouth. Not out of the running yet for ED.

Hey guys can you share sat/act scores if you are thinking ed for Dartmouth?

A little over 2300

In the middle of 2300 and 2400. Not sure about ED yet.

I have a 34 ACT

I got in with a 2240 without a “race advantage” (if you will) so I think you’ll be fine. I also had a 34 ACT so idk if that helped.

Between a 2200-2400 along with high APs, subject tests, GPA, teacher recs, and great EC involvement is what an ideal applicant needs. Only 1 essay so I don’t know how much that would come into consideration.

good luck guys. Considering between Dartmouth and UPenn for ED

around 2200. still deciding whether to do ED or RD

ED if you love the school. It’s much easier getting in early than regular.

This blog is just starting up but one of our writers will be attending Dartmouth and they seem to have good things to talk about and a lot to come.

As for your chances, usually ED increases your chances immensely if you are a competitive applicant and you can show why you are passionate about what you do.

Definitely doing ED!

I heard 30% of ED admission is generally for recruited athletes. Do you guys think that’s true?

I’m probably going to apply ED. I really love it there.

^ when i had my info session with dartmouth they said that without recruited athletes, the ED admission rate is ~12%
