bummer

Oh ■■■■… Why in the year I applied??? Why?? :(

Does anyone know if decisions will be released closer to December 15th this year, considering the record number of apps? I know last year it was on/around the 11th (don’t remember exactly) and the year before was even earlier, and just comparing the notification date to the number of ED apps, I would expect it to get pushed back a few days this time. I think admissions sends out an email after Thanksgiving with an exact date…?

Is anyone planning on sending first quarter grades?

Is it required for us to send them because we are ED?

@thinkhowto1 Are you sure your % reflect correctly on your estimate your chances scale? I meant for the # I chose to mean small percentage and it’s reflected the opposite way on the graph.

Does submitting sat IIs in math 1 and math 2 fulfill the requirement, even though they’re in the same subject?
thanks.

@ski1997 yes, I’m almost positive that fulfills the requirement.

Edit: Just checked the admissions/testing FAQ on the Dartmouth website to confirm: Sending Math 1 and Math 2 is perfectly fine! http://admissions.dartmouth.edu/facts-advice/faqs

Thanks a million!! @justkt9314

A guy told me today that his cousin (a girl) was already accepted at Dartmouth ED. Her weighted GPA is 4.4 /5, and she is Hispanic. He said she applied immediately when applications were accepted, and she’s going to visit the campus later this year (before 12-31-14.) Is such an early decision even possible? Has anyone heard of an ED so soon?

@swissmiss3 The only thing I can think of is that your friend’s cousin is an athlete and had an early read. Otherwise, it doesn’t make much sense to me. Even legacy prospectives I’ve met do not hear officially until everyone else does…

I heard results will be released on December 12th

@rosbo3 where did you hear that?

@justkt Dartmouth sent my counselor an Email telling him they will release decision on or about December 12th

She might have gotten a likely letter from Dartmouth. That’s the only way it would work.

@Zwischenzug I thought likely letters were only for RD applicants.

Likely letters come in October for the Early Round. They’re rare, but they exist.

How big of a role does the interview play in admissions for dartmouth?

@kpatel123 I just got off the phone with my interviewer saying I had to cancel because I have to go to the hospital, and he said that it was completely fine and that the interviews mean absolutely nothing. He said that it was a way fro the alumni to feel somewhat involved in the admissions… So don’t panic!
