I’m sick of waiting…

How is everyone keeping sane for the next week or so of torture?

@crafson it’s all about the distractions…

For one thing, I have a bunch of supps I’ve been procrastinating on because I always come back to thinking about getting in to Dartmouth and not having to do them. Really should get going!

Deleted

@icepierre the feeling is mutual! I want to wait until after we hear but at the same time I want to have them done before we find out.

Who said anything about staying sane?

Hey-- I rushed my November SAT scores, but it doesn’t say they received them yet (only my October ones). Did anyone else rush November scores? Do you think they’ll be considered?
Thanks!!

@ski1997 I rushed my November scores, and Dartmouth received them within two days of their release. They might not be considered, but the only way to find out is to call Admissions and ask. Good luck, and that really sucks I hate CB.

Hey guys,
Does anyone know what the acceptances/rejections look like for Dartmouth? Does music play if you are accepted? Do you get notified by email when the status is up?

GUYS I CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER I AM GOING INSANE!!

What are people’s second choices to Dartmouth?

@icepierre My second choice is Pomona (really should work on those supplements…if Dartmouth doesn’t work out, I’ll apply to Pomona ED round 2) and my third choice is Duke.

@icepierre There’s a tie for my second choice, it’s between University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins. What’s your second choice?

You can apply to two ED schools (at different times)? Good to know! I have kind of a toss-up between Tufts, Williams, and UChicago–I’d be happy to go to any of those schools. Then there’s Dartmouth…

I don’t think finishing up supps will be too painful. I plan to recycle a lot of material. But I will not wait until last minute.

@icepierre It depends - some schools have two rounds of ED, most don’t. I would love just to get into Dartmouth though…so much anticipation Hopefully decisions will come out by the 12th, so we don’t have to worry all weekend until the 15th.

Hey guys,

I’m applying ED too, glad to know we’re all in the same boat!
Does anyone know why Dartmouth sent us something about checking our financial aid status and filling out a financial aid profile even before we know our admission results? I got an email about it like a week and a half ago.

“Thank you for your interest in Dartmouth College. Our Financial Aid Office has an important update for etc…”

On another note I’m really glad to see that so far no one on this thread is your typical haughty CCer who incessantly boasts about their prospects :)

@icepierre I had the same issue for my second set of scores that I sent after the deadline (I rushed them as well). they showed the date for the old set of scores on the portal so I emailed the admissions office to make sure they got the new scores.

Hey everyone! This may be rather odd, but did anyone else apply for the drama program? Also, with the anxiety, I’ve found that the more I think about it the worse I feel, so ya. Hoping they announce something, I do not know where I read this, I have tried to find where I got this information but have been unable: letters. Not likely letters but actual physical acceptance letters. From what I could tell, there would be a physical letter only if one is accepted, not if denied. But how email factors in beats me, I’m terrified to open emails for the next week :(
