****Dartmouth College Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

Hey! I haven’t posted in here yet, but I was contacted about an interview on Tuesday and had it on Thursday! It went well  The interviewer was a double bassist and hiker enthusiast like me; both of us from Appalachia/Shenandoah area of Virginia.

Hey! Anyone planning to send the app after 1st January? I received a mail from them on 28th Dec stating that it is okay to submit after the deadline, within 5th January.

I was wondering the same thing. Their website also says it is ok to send in before Jan 5, but the common app says the deadline is Jan 1st still. Chicago extended their deadline and the new date is on the common app. My fear is that the common app will not let me submit after the 1st, but I am nowhere near done with my application. Does anyone know if it will still let us submit?

I mailed them but the admission office is closed till January 2nd.

Hello all, I’m applying Dartmouth for RD and I just posted my resume via the portal. After I hit upload, the page redirected to the sign in page. I signed in again and there is no evidence that I just successfully submitted my resume. Did this happen to any of you? Do I need to resubmit my resume? Thank you and good luck to all RD applicants!

There was a spot on the common app for the resume in the Dartmouth specific questions…maybe they can’t take it through the portal? Worst case scenario you can just email it to your admissions counselor. Maybe call them this week when they open again and see the best way to get it to them now.

Does anyone know if Dartmouth allows a few days for application materials to be submitted after the deadline? I got my app in on time but scores/recommendations got in a little late. Can’t imagine they would not consider me because of that but idk

You are fine.

@CollegeBound1325 I’ve had the same problem because my teacher forgot to submit and I couldn’t contact her over the holidays and get her to submit, so I emailed and they said as long as it arrives by the end of january then they won’t consider it late. Don’t worry!

Phew that’s a relief! Thanks for the responses!

Does anyone else have an interview in London this weekend? I’m so excited/nervous!

@Did any international get an interview in regular action so far? If yes, kindly also write down your country

I received an email for an alumni interview and in the email, she said that my application has already been favorably reviewed by admissions. Does this mean anything?

@milky99 Are you an international applicant? If yes, which country?

@milky99 do you have any hooks?

I am vietnamese, from the deep south, first gen, and a questbridge finalist (didn’t participate in the national college match). I don’t know if any of these are considered hooks or not. @intellectboy @allima

I’m really regretting that I didn’t apply ED to Dartmouth, but will my being a low-income URM help at all? Also, is it considered annoying to ask for an alumni interview?

@maryelzz low-income doesn’t matter because they use need-blind admission. URM would help (especially Native American). Don’t ask. They probably won’t even respond to you if you ask. They will assign you an interviewer if they want to.

Hope this helped:)

I’ve been contacted for an alumni interview (Canadian)

When’s the latest I could send in the peer and other rec letter? Is it already too late?
