Hello peeps! How is everyone doing?
I noticed that there was no thread for the Class Of 2017 RD applicants, and well here it is :D
Let's get this thing going, come on people!

Tell us a bit about yourself and all that good stuff,
How are the college apps coming along and stuff?

Wow, the person who wrote my peer evaluation is a very avid writer, and she told me she wrote a total of 4500 words for my evaluation! I do believe her when she told me that she wrote 935 words just for the first question because she writes quite small and always discusses many poits in her writings. Still thoough, that is quite a lot!

^ Woah!! That is a LOT!! If your friend is a really great writer who won’t bore the reader, then GREAT!! If not, adcoms might not read the whole thing!! Anyway, All the Best!! :)

@IvyLeague2020 - Its all there on the Dartmouth admissions on website!! And nope, as far as I know - no other college needs one!

What have you guys applied for? I applied for Engineering Sciences.
Also again – Did anyone submit an Arts Supplement??

I know peer evaluations are needed for Davidson College as well. Do you guys know if the applicant will be penalized in any way if his/her peer eval doesn’t get submitted on time (and it is out of his/her control)?

@rishav17. You don’t apply to a specific school at Dartmouth, however selecting academic interests is a different thing and that has no bearing on what you’ll end up majoring in.

@Wallacea. I think it’s best to contact the admissions office to let them know. I doubt that you will be penalized for it, seeing as it’s not your fault.

@collegebound808 . Obviously I can’t speak for the admissions office but considering they have a ton of other stuff to read too it’s wayy too much. Have you gotten in touch with a Dartmouth official to discuss this?

@basketballer23, I know you don’t apply to a specific school at Dartmouth. I did my research!! . You do have to specify a intended field of study though!! And I wanted to get a sense of what fellow applicants want to major in!! And find out if anyone else wants to do engineering at Dartmouth & what his/her plans are!! (Since it gives a 4yr A.B & a 5 yr B.E. unlike other colleges!!)

@rishav17. Hahah it’s cool man.
I just mean that whatever you list as your ‘preference’ does not count for much. You can even state your interest as ‘Undecided’.
Are you interested in Engineering then?

Applied! Kinda decided last minute(ish). I loved my visit and the whole location - brings on such a feeling of nostalgia since my family used to own a condo around Hanover when I was little. The only thing that made me hesitant to submit is the fraternity scene. I don’t think it will be as bad as some of the sensationalist articles have made it sound, so we’ll see. The Rolling Stone article a while ago really frightened me, however. Either way best of luck everyone!

@basketballer23
Yeah I know. And yup, I am interested in engineering - which is why I took a long time to decide whether or not I should apply to Dartmouth!! What about you? Any particular interest??
