If they decide to deactivate our candidacy, yes, we will receive an email (according to previous years’ waitlist threads). It would be unethical for them to leave us forever in suspense, haha.

Thank you @ouryellowpaint !! I wanted to tell you that I received my hard copy letter today!! Just in case you wanted to know, so you could keep an eye out. ;)

Thank you so much for the heads-up, I just received mine today as well! :D

Hey guys! Probably won’t be graduating in 2018, but I was waitlisted as a transfer applicant. Best of luck to you guys! With such a high yield, it seems it will be quite difficult to gain admittance to Dartmouth. But we still hope :)

Hey, happy to have you! it is definitely a tough year for both transfers and waitlisted candidates. I’m just hoping they make room for at least a few so we have a chance and the wait wasn’t for nothing, haha.

Anything? Have any of you received notification of candidacy being deactivated? I haven’t…

Not yet, the last email (received on May 8) said that they will “monitor changes in the number of students planning to enroll at Dartmouth over the next few weeks,” and Thursday is just going to be the three week mark. Requests for gap years aren’t due until June 1, so we may have a bit still but I’m just speculating.

Ok thanks! We will have to wait and see!

Received an official email… Rejected! Oh well…

@ouryellowpaint did you receive the email? Am I the only one who was rejected? :(

I received it too, I wonder if they rejected everyone or if they just cut the list down? Either way it’s over I guess where are you going instead? @astrogirl
