Dartmouth Supplement- 6/10 (decent, also noticed a typo after submitting it)
[ *] Teacher Recommendations: I haven’t read either of them, but I imagine that they were strong. I’m particularly close with one of my teachers who I know spoke highly of me as both a student and a person. I would likely give them a 9/10 and a 7/10.
[ *] Counselor Rec: Haven’t read, but I’m guessing a 10/10
[ *] Additional Rec: Peer recommendation from my friend who I’ve known for over 10 years. I didn’t read it, but I know she spent a lot of time on it. She knows me very well and I’m sure it was great.
[ *] Interview: Went well! Was only about 30 minutes, but I was well-spoken and confident. He didn’t ask me as many questions as I thought he would, but it went well overall.

[ /list]

[ b]Reflection**
[ *] Strengths: strong recommendations, strong transcript, commitment to ECs, test scores?
[ *] Weaknesses: My essays were okay but definitely weren’t my strongest point. My math scores were also a little weak.
[ *] Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I think I’m a generally strong applicant, but I don’t have stellar ECs that a lot of accepted students do. Still, I’m well-rounded and I have strong grades and relatively strong test scores.
[ *] Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: I only applied to Dartmouth.
[ *] Where else are you applying for RD: I will be applying RD to a handful of small competitive New England schools.
[ /list]

[ b]General Comments:** I was upset at first, but deferral isn’t the worst outcome. There’s still hope that I’ll see some of you on campus next year! Best of luck to you all as we continue our senior year.

I was expecting this the whole time, but its still disappointing. Even though I’m still technically in the running, I’m kind of moving on from Dartmouth and looking to my other regular decision schools. Good luck to everyone with Dartmouth and your other schools!

How nervous are you all for 5pm? I’m not expecting much, but I can’t wait to finally get an answer after this long.

Good luck, all!
